Nick Pasyanos of Middletown is the only local filmmaker featured in this weekend's second Rhode Island International Film Festival in Providence and Woonsocket.

The festival starts today and runs through Sunday with about 100 films featured. Pasyanos' film is "Boxed Man," a 110-minute feature about breaking into business in your 20's and seeing your ideals bump up against reality.

"Boxed Man" will premier Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Museum of Work and Culture, River Island Park in Woonsocket. Tickets are $6.

Pasyanos will also lead a forum Sunday at 1 p.m. called "Making & Selling a Movie in the 'Indie' World and the Hollywood Myth," at St. James Episcopal Church on Hamlet Avenue, Woonsocket. "Indie" is slang for independent films and their makers.
